"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and forJerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth."
I have heard stories from Christian people who lived in Germany during the second World War and their silence. One story tells of the congregation at one church, one of many on any given Sunday. As they would be singing hymns and worshiping the Lord, they could hear the rumbling of cattle cars, filled with Jewish people, heading out of town toward some concentration or death camp. Everyone knew the horror that was taking place yet they remained silent. They all knew in their heart what was happening yet no one stood up to say anything. They just kept singing and going on with their lives, business as usual. This situation seems hard to fathom for us today; but, I wonder if our culture isn’t every bit as numb, blind, and guilty before the Lord as the German people were. Even in a house of God, where mercy, and compassion and righteous indignation are talked about every week, no one said anything. Silence was the order of their day and their time. Sadly, it seems people are also silent now. Just like in Hitler's Germany there was a silence that was both sinful and deafening. We, as God’s people, cannot allow it to happen again.
Great calamities are happening right before our eyes. Lust, and filth, of every fabric and nature are thrown at us daily. Lewdness is shamefully accepted by de-sensitized people thinking as long as they don't engage in these things everything is all right. We cannot be silent. To be silent is to acquiesce to the evil. We cannot do that.
Even within our own congregations people must take a stand against evil and tyranny. Yet, and it is very sad, so many remain silent. Our children are exposed to things that we should shudder at. No one says much of anything any more. We know murders are happening to babies while still in the sanctity of their mothers’ wombs and people just shrug their shoulders, numbed into a silent stupor. This is the sin of silence. Because we do nothing, we sink down into a world accustomed to garbage paraded before us every day. It should serve to warn us that now we see a world order coming into being, applauding sin and threatening all who would oppose it. We are being dictated to that we must sit silent before a world of spiritual oppression, perversion, confusion and the wickedness of man. This chaos from hell demands to rule ALL the nations.
Won’t somebody stand up and say something? Will this modern generation also be guilty of staying silent as this darkness descends all around? We are truly living in a modern day Sodom and Gommorah where the wicked shout boldly in defiance of everything held dear to us. For our part, we must remember, judgment begins FIRST in the house of God. May the Lord grant us repentance.
Yes, a new world order is coming on the scene. We cannot allow this wave of globalist demonic tyranny to rule our hearts. We can visably see this last act of Satan's scheme come right before our eyes on the world’s stage. This new order is an all-powerful government of religion, commerce and wickedness. Are you awake? Are you going to be silent? This wave of spiritual rule from Hades will be honored by the masses as the 'law of the land'. Will you say something?
A huge part of this scenario of deception, this last act of the Biblical last days play, concerns the nation of Israel.
Like many, I’ve read the end of the book. The Bible tells us of these days and how ALL the nations of the world will be lining up to oppose Israel, the God of Israel, and the people that belong to that book, the Bible. Jerusalem, we are told, will be center stage at the end. The prophet Zechariah tells us Jerusalem will be a 'cup of trembling' before the entire world. The nations will gather against Israel thinking victory will be assured, but they are very wrong.
As for us, we cannot be silent in these days ahead. We must cry out, or frustrate the desire of our own hearts. We were born for such a time as this. Silence is sin when we become so accustomed to the ease of our life and prefer creature comforts instead of truth and justice. Be bold!
We must not be silent! The convenience of saying nothing becomes desirable when opposition weighs heavy before us. That is why God's Word tells us the 'Kingdom is taken by force'. We aren't supposed to choose the easy path. That would be the path of ‘least resistence’, and a really sorry choice. There may be consequences to our speaking out against the evil around us. Count the costs. Think about how it will look when you stand before your Lord when the books are opened?
"Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Yeshua answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice."
