Seeing The Big Picture

1 Corinthians 2:9,
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

Now that homosexual marriage is the law of the land, many think God is red-faced with anger and wrath.  People imagine His rage boiling over.  They really don't know Him. Some might assume that we should expect His fire and brimstone ready to wipe us out at any minute.   Many thinking they know God really have no clue.  People have this thought of a gigatic baseball bat swinging from the heavenlies ready to strike down mankind.  The character of God is much bigger, more magnificient than that.  Truly, His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts.

What we are actually seeing today from our Creator is a loving Lord, heartbroken and saddened by His creation that He longs to help and save.  He knows better than us how   far we have fallen as a nation, as the body of Messiah, and individuals.   He is saddened just like any father would who has witnessed his children sinking into sin and depravity.     I know how sad I felt when my children wouldn't live up to my standards and expectations.  God is grieved just like I was when my kids would fight and hit each other.   He is saddened when we don't do things His way knowing that   we will fall on our faces.  He sees how obstinate we can be in not respecting His way, trying to bend Him into seeing things our way.  He is God and He changes not.  We who try to read His mind and assume He is this way, or that, can really be pathetic when you think about it.

In addition, and it is unfortunate, when we speak of the righteousness and splendor of God, we often portray Him   as a wooden, austere, and emotionless judge.  We sell Him short when we think He is only concerned with meting out justice.  We are not understanding Him.  We sometimes   have this notion that He is impervious to our sadness, feeling or our pain.  We somtimes actually think He has forgotten us.   I have to tell you, nothing could be farther from the truth.  Remember, we are created in the image of God and in His likeness.  The emotions we have He has.   The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  Being   made in the likeness of our Lord, we should see a loving benevolent Heavenly Father at work.  He is elated with us   or saddened by us, just like we are with our children.

He is very reluctant to judge man because of His love for them.  However, don't read this wrong.  There will be a time when the judgement on mankind will fall.  His Word is true and will certainly come to pass.  We are actually entering these days of judgement right now.  However, don't assume that the Lord is not seeing the plight His children find themselves in.

When you think it through you will find that persecution, for example, aimed at His children by other people, and Satan, is actually His mercy coming toward them.   We don't really see the big picture with our God.  What better way is there to turn His chilren back to Him in earnestness?  What better tool is there to force His true followers to turn back from   the apostasy engulfing His people?  Persecution by man cleanses the body of Messiah.  The worldly enviornment surrounding His 'ecclesia', the body of Messiah, works toward our ruination and He knows it.  We need to know it too.  He is trying to shake His people out of potential spiritual death.  Remember, He never slumbers or sleeps! And, He is pretty smart!

The Lord sees the end from the beginning.  He knows the superiority of your eternal destiny compared to the temporal, short life you experience while in this world.   Think about it.  This life is just meant to be a preparation   for the next life, the life eternal.  In this life we have the opportunity to connect with God through His Son, Yeshua the Messiah.  He has offered us intimacy, fellowship, provision and love.  The Lord, in His wisdom, will guide us into the Millenium period, through the 'labor pains' of Earth, and into the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, if we will allow Him.  We really need to just open our ears, our hearts, and our minds to Him today, right now.  He is here, He is there, He is everywhere AND He will never leave us nor forsake   us.  If you don't hear Him it is only because you are not close enough to Him.  This can be taken care of simply by seeking Him and drawing nigh to Him.  I wouldn't delay if I were you.  His promises are true.  His Kingdom in you is strength and power.  Believe me, belief in Him is   everything, it is all you need to run this race!

Hebrews 3:12-15,
"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil   heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.   For we are made partakers of Messiah, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation."
