Don't Mess With Jerusalem

Isaiah 62:1-3,
"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof     as a lamp that burneth. Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God."

Back in June the United States betrayed Israel, again, by deciding not to recognize Jerusalem as part of Israel.  This tragic and stupid decision by Washington is just one more nail in America's coffin; however, it is also a huge   fulfillment of last days Biblical prophecy.  Everyday we hear of the leaders in this country and around the world talking about their 2 state solution.  This solution is an   abomination before the Lord our God.

Joel 3:1-2,
"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land."

Why is Jerusalem so important?  The 'City of David'  has no natural harbor.  It isn’t located near any important trade route and isn't, as far as anyone knows, sitting on top of some great amount of oil or natural gas.  It's not a   'gateway' city.  Also, it’s not a banking, industrial or commercial hub.   That would Tel Aviv, which no one is arguing about at all.  Jerusalem is not a medical or hi-tech center either and has no natural resources.  It’s too hilly for an airport it doesn’t command any great strategic high ground.  It has nothing at all to recommend it except for the fact the God chose it for Himself.  It's for this reason that Satan contests it.  It's the most hotly contested place on Earth and the most valuable real estate.

2 Chronicles 6:5-6,
"Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel   to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel: But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel."

Satan and all his minions want control of Jerusalem.   Whether it be Islam, the Vatican, the Masons, the Mormons or the Jews themselves, the vicious fight for Jerusalem began in the spiritual realm over us and will not end until the prophecies in the book of Zechariah, and elsewhere are fulfilled.  The last battle, the battle of Armeggedon is all about the final fight for Jerusalem.  When Messiah returns He will set his foot upon the Mount of Olives, in Jerusalem.
In the mean time, the forces of evil seek the City of David, especially the Temple Mount.  The vision of John in his description of the final battle of Jerusalem tells us it will be divided in the last days:

Revelation 16:19,
"And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath."

The center of our existence is Jerusalem.  Everyone opposing the Lord as it concerns Jerusalem will suffer an immeasurable and final defeat.  America is not at the   center of God's plan, it is Israel.  Rome is not the future of our world, it is Jerusalem.

People misunderstand God's dealing with His own people. Yes He has judged them and they were given over to the nations for a time.  Now the favor has returned to Israel   and God is using them to judge the nations.  Every nation that comes up against God's chosen people will be gravely disappointed.  They may even seem to win for a time but woe unto them!  Whether it be the Egyptians, the Babylonians and Assyrians in the days of old, or the Germans, Arab Muslims and New World Order of today, their will be a surviving Jewish remnant that will remain.  They will not be driven into the sea.

Satan has done his utmost to destroy the Jew but a   remnant has been kept back, and will be around for this day and hour.  Like the rest of the body of Messiah, they are witnesses to the glory about to be unleashed on our Lord's enemies.  Remember, this is the hand of God bringing the whole world into judgement and He is using the Jews,   Israel and Jerusalem to do His bidding.  The British, as blessed as they were, opposed the Jews in their own land   in 1948 and now are nothing.  The Nazis tried their best to destroy all of Judaism and we saw their land destroyed.   Israel is back in the land and their exile is at an end.  Satan still doesn't like it.  Just as Haman found out in Queen Esthers time, the Jewish people will remain despite the evil plans around them.  Israel has the promised hand of God to keep them and He never slumbers or sleeps.

Beware:  When you go up against the Jewish nation you   are going up against the will of Almighty God.  You may not think it so but you are.  If you will study the prophecies of Ezekiel, chapter 36, you will find God speaking to the land and proclaiming the return of His people, the Jews.  He says he is not doing this because they are so good, but because He is defending His Name in returning them to His land.   The sin and wickedness in the Jewish nation is not the standard to look on.  Israel's hearts will be turned according to Scripture.  The Jewish exile will truly end when the Messiah Yeshua reveals Himself to them in their great time of need in the not so distant future.  In the mean time, woe unto those who would oppose God's will and divide His land. Woe unto those who would mess around with Jerusalem. You are up against the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.   This is no joke.  Unless you repent, you have no future but the Lake of Fire.

Zechariah 12,:1-3,
"The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.  Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.  And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."
