"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."
The 'End of the Age' approaches Earth and it really seems to be the quiet before the storm. Birth-pangs are increasing almost every day across the world. I wonder how many people really see any connection with the surreal events that loom so large and the Biblical prophecies that are being fulfilled right before our eyes. Conditions are ripe for a major catastrophe to be unleashed upon the world. Widespread extreme events continue to haunt the world. Earthquakes in divers places are increasing and climate chaos is rampant. Climate Chaos was officially proclaimed by the globalist elite almost 500 days ago and is just days away from fulfillment. Out of all of this chaos we will some day, if we survive that is, observe a 'man of sin', the prophesied 'anti-messiah', or 'anti-christ', make his entrance onto the world's stage. We are now at that place in history where people really must get their spiritual houses in order. These are dangerous times, but I say with absolute confidence in Yeshua my Lord and King, 'let the winds blow, my house is built upon the Rock!'
2 Thessalonians 2:3,
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
Perhaps the saddest prophecy in all the Bible is
2 Thessalonians 2:3. The man of sin, the anti-messiah, will soon enough appear, but before he comes there will be a great falling away of the people of the Messiah. The very ones called to carry the 'last days torch' for Yeshua will melt away into spiritual and moral oblivion. If we hadn't seen it with our own eyes we would have never believed it. But, there it is. It is heart breaking but very obvious that the great falling away is upon us right now. And, it is far enough along that the anti-messiah could emerge at any minute, or any time, even right now, today. The stage has been set.
Yes, this falling away is known as the 'great apostasy'. The Apostle Paul prophesied two millenium ago of the days we are living in today. He gives us, the future body of Messiah, keen insight into how it will be in the latter days before anti-messiah shows up, and then, when the real Messiah comes to rescue His people.
Paul supplies us with some real strong clues as to when, and how, the 'ecclesia', the body of Messiah moves into this dangerous, apostate condition. God's people will be become weak, vacillating, and full of the rankest apostasy imaginable before Satan's boy gets here. And, he describes the basic condition of God's people in that day:
2 Timothy 4:3-4,
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
It is so clear to me that this has happened. About 10 to 15 current big-time preachers come to mind when I consider Paul's prophecy. I wonder though, what is the root of this raging, disgusting apostasy? It is actually the major viewpoint that dominates the seminaries of America today. In fact, they revel in it. The Bible, in many places now is studied not to be believed and obeyed but to be analyzed, dissected, and criticized. The result of this satanic delusion in the house of God is that the Scriptures have lost their authority in so many circles that once stood strong in the faith. The Salvation Army's founder, William Booth (1829-1912), was a man with a great zeal for the Lord and a passion for lost souls. He was a great preacher and also a man of extraordinary vision. On the eve of the 20th Century when the bulk of the body of Messiah, the church, were caught up in how the 'Church' would soon take the world for Yeshua; Booth saw that the Gospel would not fare well in the new 20th century. He prophesied that by the end of the 20th Century, much of the body of our Lord would be preaching:
1. Christianity without Christ
2. Forgiveness without repentance
3. Salvation without regeneration
4. Heaven without Hell
Bingo: 4 for 4.
The apostate condition of the body of Messiah today is the saddest, yet surest sign that we are indeed far along into the condition described in the last days. This incredible apostasy also seems to be growing and has grown rapidly in our nation and the world. They say today there are more mosques than churches in Great Britain. Missionaries are now being sent to America! Many former stalwarts for the defense of the Gospel are running and figuring ways to talk around issues that are very black and white in the Scriptures. People are far more worried about 'feelings' today than 'What saith the Lord'. Sound doctrine in our generation is a concept that is very foreign.
In actuality, the sheep are being separated from the goats by the Lord Himself. People have backslidden dramatically. The 'fear of the Lord' seems to be something lost in the lives of so many today. People now think they stand for righteousness before the Lord but in actuality are spiritually dead. I never really realized this, but maybe the Apostle Peter was actually talking to his own people in the body of Yeshua the Messiah when he received this from the Holy spirit:
2 Peter 3,
"3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."
