35 Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Israel this week observed Yom HaShoah, the remembrance of the Holocaust that saw 6 million people murdered in Europe during the 1930s' and 1940s' by the Nazis of Adolf Hitler. As we took time to remember the barbarity in our own recent history, precious little attention was paid to the 100th anniversary of the Turkish (Muslim) slaughter of 1.5 million, mainly Christian Armenians during World War 1.
From the viewpoint of Biblical prophecy we need to understand that the deadly beast of the last days, Islam has not changed in any way since its origins in the 600s. Like any bully on the block, Islam flexes its murderous muscles only as far as the rest of mankind will allow. Islam is actually very similar to Nazism. It desires world supremacy and announces to everyone who will listen that it intends on killing every last Jew on Earth. Islam's very name means, 'submission'. Any follower of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Who sent His Son into the world to die for our sins will never submit to another god. We know too much, and we know Him, our Lord, Savior and Creator.
Observe though this Islamic beast that has come back to life right before the eyes of mankind. About 100 years ago, the Caliph of the Ottoman Empire saw his proud realm fade during the first World War and eventually saw it sink into apparent oblivion. The mighty 400 year old Ottoman beast, along with its Caliphate seemed to keel over dead. In one great swoop of history the Empire ceased to exist. They had suffered, from what many Biblical scholars felt, the great head wound of Revelation and looked stone dead by 1924. This was the time when the 'Young Turks' ascended the secular throne of government in Ankara. Turkey became secular even though 98% of the country was Muslim. The implications of this were enormous but most noticed very little as the future was concerned.
The day of vengeance for this humiliation of the lost Ottoman Empire has long been in the minds and hearts of Muslims. This day is here right now. The days of secularism in Turkey are now gone. The Neo-Ottoman Empire is on the rise and coming back very strong. Almost every Bible prophecy scholar I have read has warned of the re-emergence of Turkey and the return of the Ottoman Caliphate. Turkey's current president, Recep Erdogan is loudly proclaiming the Neo-Ottoman message and is said to be behind much of the chaos breaking out now it the Middle East.
Last week Erdogan very publicly denounced any discussion of the slaughter of the Armenians as fiction and warned the world about bringing it up at all. He even rebuked the Pope.
Doug Bloomfield of the Jerusalem Post recently wrote, "Can you imagine the Germans bullying and threatening the United States and other countries and world leaders not to call that slaughter (The Jewish Holocaust) genocide because they find it offensive?" In today's world where the spirit of Islam has been wielding its deadly torrent around the globe, people, as well as other dark principalities that fight for control, buckle at the knee and bow down to the incredible falsehoods spewed by the devil through this Turkish president. The words are loud and the countenances are fierce as the spirit of Islam makes the world take notice. All over the globe it looks like all the powers that are in play are bowing down before the beast.
I won't bow down. No true believer in Israel's Messiah, Yeshua our Lord feels threatened by Satan's 'blowhardism'. Yet the world around us now shutters. May the Lord have them who bow down, and all His other enemies in derision. Listen my friend: Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess that Yeshua, the Son of God is Lord! To Whom you bow down to today will matter when that day of bowing before the King of Kings occurs. Where are you today?
Last Friday Jonathan Cahn, a Messianic Jewish Rabbi spoke before the United Nations. Everyone needs to pay heed to the warning spoken by our Lord through His spokesman and prophet. A new holocaust is upon us. Who is listening? The Lord's return is soon and the days of Daniel and Revelation, and the other Prophets are unveiling before us. The whole world cannot say it was not warned. God's people are in the center of Yeshua's heart:
"We meet in the world's most revered gathering place (the United Nations, New York City) of nations. And as kings, leaders, ambassadors and delegates convene here to discuss international issues, within the borders of over 60 of those nations, Christians are being persecuted by their own governments or by those in whose midst they live— from North Korea, to Iran, to Afghanistan, to Syria, Nigeria, Iraq, Pakistan, Vietnam and Indonesia, and many, many more. In North Korea, Christians are imprisoned, sent to labor camps, tortured, and killed, for the crime of owning a Bible. In Nigeria entire Christian village populations have been massacred. In Orissa India, 70,000 Christians have been forced to flee their homes. In Syria, 80,000 Christians have been quote 'cleansed' from their homes." In Indonesia, Muslims have put 10,000 Christians to death."
More believers in Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah have been slain for their faith in the past century than all other centuries since the time Yeshua walked the shores of Galilee. Whole sale slaughter is taking place across the Middle East and elsewhere right now. Every week it seems some new outrage is perpetrated by the enemies of the cross and more violence is threatened to us, 'the people of the book'. However, we should not be too alarmed at the barbarity or the voices that threaten us. Rather, it is up to us to face this new holocaust bravely from the vantage point of God's Word:
1 Peter 4
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Yeshua HaMashiach, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Messiah's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
