Matthew 22:29 (Complete Jewish Bible)
"Yeshua answered them, “The reason you go astray is that you are ignorant both of the Tanakh and of the power of God."
If we want to reach the lost in these days of darkness before the Lord returns we need to pray for revival and not be stuck worrying about survival. We dearly need God's presence and power in our individual lives. Everyone needs to break through to God in the Holy Spirit. This should be, and is a must for those truly wanting to serve Yeshua the Messiah in 2015. We have to move daily in the Spirit of God with not just a 'can do' heart, but a 'do or die' spirit because so much is at stake. This 'do or die' spiritual state can only be attained by getting on our knees and truly desiring to get serious with our Father's business in the Holy Spirit, and not just on our own. The Lord said that if we would 'draw nigh unto Him' that He would 'draw nigh unto us' . The cry of our day must be revival, not survival. His Spirit will change us and nothing else will.
We need all believers of our Jewish Messiah to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God. This was spelled out directly by Yeshua Himself. Everyone who believes in the Son of God needs to be empowered by Him as He taught! Without Him we can do NOTHING. We need to be freshly immersed, or baptized in the Holy Spirit. The equipment to live successfully in this day has been given to us by the Lord and we need to drink deeply from that spiritual fountain Yeshua has offered to us. Don't assume you have His strength in power if you really do not. Stop fooling yourself. In this dark Laodicean world we find ourselves, so many actually insult the Holy Spirit with their traditions and fear of losing local temporal power. They are deceived into thinking they have His Spirit working in them but the fruit, or lack of fruit, proves their impotence spiritually and otherwise. Just like the foolish Galatians of Paul's day weak people claiming relationships with the Lord are bewitched by another false spirit. Come on, get real. I have heard so many people, thinking themselves close to the Lord who almost run when the Ruach HaKodesh is brought into any conversation. They will talk religion, tradition, politics, sports; anything, but when you bring the power of God into the conversation..... ciao baby! We need a tidal wave of God's Spirit and glory in our midst. I pray His fullness will come upon our flock here at Beit Mashiach. I pray this for myself and my family. I hope He is allowed into every flock honoring Him by worshipping in Spirit and in Truth!
History should teach us of the reality of the power of the Spirit of God. In 1824 Charles Finney became a travelling Presbyterian preacher in rural New York state. Wherever he preached, the power of God was with him. Once he went to a cotton mill and just stood there in silence. The whole workforce began to weep under the hand of God. In one village where no Christian had ever preached, the locals were hard and resented his presence. However, when he preached Messiah, a sudden fear fell on them. "If I had had a sword on each hand, I could not have cut them down as fast as they fell," he records. He left them in order to get to another engagement, but when he returned he found that the meeting had gone on all night, and the 'slain' had to be carried out of the building so that the school could start! (Charles Finney Autobiography, Bethany Book House 1979; Winkle Pratney, Revival, Whitaker House 1983. )
Our best defense is a good offense! Now is not the time to hide our lights under bushels but to shine what the Lord has put in our lives. Let us all be equipped in the Holy Spirit sent by the Father to reveal His Son Yeshua to mankind!
John 14:26 (Complete Jewish Bible)
" But the Counselor, the Ruach HaKodesh, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything; that is, he will remind you of everything I have said to you."
