Psalm 19:1, 2:
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy work.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.” …..
From all the things that are seen every day by us, it is still amazing to me that when you look up into the heavens that somebody might doubt that God exists. The psalmist is tackling this issue head on in this passage and he is amazed that someone could even doubt it. It makes my heart glad when I see that this is nothing new in our generation. We aren't the only ones who have to listen to silly arguments people conj or up in their quest to try and disprove the fact that there is a God. All the world must answer this question: Who made us? We must also answer another question: "Who made the Universe?. I think the answer here is given right in the question itself: Universe is from the Latin, "One spoken statement". That should satisfy the question with the bold proclamation: 'God spoke, and there was Earth.'
The psalmist, in the above verses also leads us to the consideration of the invisible hidden wisdom and incredible depth of knowledge and foresight possessed by Yahweh. It becomes incontestably evident that God's glory shines transcendently bright in the visible heavens. The perfect placement of the stars in the Mazzaroth, or Zodiac, spell out the perfect Good News of Yeshua HaMashiach. When we see the comets and other heavenly objects sail through the skies we see God's plan for His people. I actually pity those who would try and declare there is no God when I glance upward into the Lord's heavenlies. What an amazing spectacle!
This amazing presence of Elohim's divine power and knowledge serve not only to show the folly of atheists, who see there is a heaven and yet say, "There is no God,’’ but also to show the folly of idolaters, and the vanity of their foolish imaginations. The heavens declare the glory of God, yet they give that glory to the lights of heaven, the creation itself. This is eternally stupid. Those very lights, according to the Psalm, direct the stars themselves to give to God His deserved glory. He alone is worthy of this homage because He is the Father of lights. Yes, the heavens declare the glory of God.
These lights in the sky above show us God's handy work and His good pleasure. They have existed forever yet we know that somewhere, at some time they must have had a beginning. They could not have just made themselves, that would be a contradiction. They have been there from well before we existed. They could not have been produced by a casual hit of atoms out of nowhere either, how absurd is that? How can anyone think that they had no Creator? This incredible design right before our eyes must have had a designer. There is positively no other explanation that an incredible, perfect and all powerful and good designer, our Lord and Savior Yeshua HaMashiach had the mind to put the sun, moon and stars in there places. These, like us, are God’s works, the works of his fingers, and therefore they declare his glory. Mankind should take note and do the same. Come quickly Adonai Yeshua!
