Mark 13:33-37, "Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch."
It is very clear that we are not told the exact hour of Yeshua’s appointed time to redeem His people, but the Bible indicates the remnant does get ready on time. Therefore it makes sense that there are those who will be aware of the times of the end and that we are living in them. The question is, how is this so? The answer is completely the opposite of what so many have been taught. We are commanded by Yeshua our Messiah to watch discerningly what He has told us about the end of times. It is in His prophetic description of certain significant events that He will identify the period of His return. The exactness of His prophetical timing is astounding. What we really need to focus in on is the spiritual application of what to do: We need to to pray for spiritual discernment, guidance and we need to pray for wisdom, understanding and insight into what we have been given to understand. Are you UNDERSTANDING and discerning the times we are living in today? Yeshua's clues are all over the Scriptures!
Because the natural man does not know the oracles of Elohim, YHVH, the Word of God, he doesn't realize the many important clues Yeshua is revealing all the time. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, who sent His Son, our Messiah, the living Word of God, Yeshua has promised He will give understanding to the righteous in the time of the last days. We really need to understand and really get it in our head that we are of those who will be existing at the end of time. These are the last days!
According to the above portion in Mark, and In context with the overall picture, we have been told of things ahead of time so that we can both prepare ourselves, not be afraid, and be able to stand in the faith. Daniel declared, “I heard and I understood not. I said, O my Adon, what will be the end of these things?” (Dan.12:8). He was told, “And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. [set apart]” (12: 9-10). The wicked, the transgressors, will continue transgressing, and “will not understand” these things we see clearly (verse 10). Wow. Does that means that the brothers and sisters in Messiah who don't understand these truths are wicked? Not necessarily, but they have been, and are often asleep. And, they happen to be asleep at the exact wrong time! “But the wise will understand.” Who are the wise? The wise are those who keep God’s commandments and do what Yeshua tells them to do. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and a good understanding have all those that do his commandments” (Psalm 111:10). They are the ones who will understand.
It does appear, however, that the world as a whole will remain in darkness and will not understand in these crucial times. This is truly a pity because not only will the wise be given understanding, but we will also fulfil the commandment to be alert, and ready when these great events begin to unfold. If you are ready and alert you will overcome through a close relationship of intimacy with Yeshua, our living Meshiach. To Him we give our devotion, worship and repentance. In these last days, you can also be assured of God's grace to understand His judgement that happens to the wicked all around us. Our Lord, like the children of Israel in Goshen, will bring us through this horrific time under His own protective wings and will watch out for us. Every day we must realize our need for Divine wisdom and understanding for this personal preparation Yeshua wants us to take part in. Being faithful because He is faithful, we can be totally assured we are in that place where Yeshua will keep us, remember us, and deliver us (Lev 26: 40-42) . Also, He will alert us and keep us abreast of what He is doing prophetically around us.
Accordingly, the New Covenant prophecies also echo that the redemption for the remnant will take place in the end of time when His elect, His chosen, who live in faith of Messiah Yeshua will have repented and made their garments “white” (Rev 17:4). We will have a completely repentant heart that gratefully, and lovingly returns to loving ABBA through willing obedience to His Word, His Will and His Wisdom. Clearly, those of us who are the remnant will discern that time.
