Be A Protestant

Why is it that believers in Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, are now classified as Evangelicals rather than Protestants?  Sometimes things slip through our train of thought and we don't think anything about it.   Anyone who is not a Roman Catholic these days is called an Evangelical.   Why?  Oh, if people are attached to a group of Baptists, or Lutherans, or Episcopalians,  yes they may be labeled as such, but when a general term for someone not Catholic is used, we hear 'Evanelical' by modern pundants.   Please understand that 'Evangelical' is not offensive to me but why the change?   It seems to be used so casually and flippantly by the media that it sometimes gives me pause.  The definition I was taught of an 'Evangelical' is:  'Bible believing, and Gospel preaching followers of our Lord.'   That's fair enough.   I consider myself that.   As a Messianic believer in Yeshua our Lord, I believe God's Word from Genesis to Revelation and will preach, teach and spread the Gospel,  the Good News to my dying breath.   Yeshua is the Living Torah.  My life, ministry, and being are daily surrendered to serving Him with all my heart, mind and strength.  The question still remains though.  Whatever happened to that centuries old tag going all the way back to the Holy Roman Empire calling anyone not bound by the dictates of Rome, 'Protestants'?  Has something happened to blur the line between the authority of the Pope versus the authority of God's Holy Word?

It seems strange but a change has occurred and many people may never have noticed.    Under the radar, with stealthlike cunning, the Protestant, oops, excuse me, 'Evangelical' leaders in America, who,  would have in the past stood up for Biblical authority and the integrity of God's Holy Word.  Now, they are nowhere to be heard unless they are taking offerings or entering into the politcal arena.  Evangelicals seem so marginalized.  They appear to be one time 'Protestants' that have been seduced by an ever oppresive spirit:   the spirit of Anti Messiah.  they seem to have lost their spine and will to fight the good fight.   When I hear certain Protestant ministries these days I don't detect much jealousy about things the Bible says are important to maintaining the faith.  Where is the zest and backbone about truths which so many in the past have paid for with their lives?  To be sure, I don't see much of an attempt to even clarify who God actually is to many of these 'evangelicals'.   I see plenty of politcal stands for sure.  That's fine.  But where are the consecrated voices warning mankind about the consequences of God's impending judgement against wickedness in this World?  Today is the day of salvation.  What's more important than that?   Is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life?   Yeshua is the Lamb.... nobody else.

I remember almost 30 years ago reading a Chick Publication magazine called, "The Godfathers".   In this amazing piece I read about a sign that was to be given among the Jesuits of the World that would signal to them that ALL American Christian churches would be under Vatican/Jesuit control when an American President would be sworn into office facing an obelisk.  Sure enough, Ronald Reagan was sworn into office on January 20, 1981 on the West Wing of the Capitol Building facing an obelisk.   Before the Gipper, every U.S. President took their oath of office on the East Wing of the Capitol.   On this day, on the West Wing, he was sworn in facing the Washington Monument, of course, an obelisk.  The year was 1981 and haven't things changed since then?  This information was given to the World by the late Ex-Jesuit Priest Alberto Rivera.   Could this be true?   Doesn't this seem just a bit fantastic?

Let's look at the evidence.  It does appear that for about  the last 30 years the body of Messiah, the Protestants, no longer protest.  They no longer take stands on issues of holiness before God, on Who runs His flock, or encouraging us on being separate from the World and free from sin.  A new world order has appeared over the years making it taboo to tell anyone about the saving grace of the only begotten Son of God.  We are okay if we tell people to make this World a better place to go to hell from but we get opposition for actually telling them the only way to escape hell itself.  People calling themselves Christians, or Messianic believers no longer seem much offended at the blasphemy, lies and adultery being pushed our way.  Take a stand my Protestant friend.  Jew or Gentile you must stand up now for Yeshua and protest with your life the spirit of this wicked age.   Do not compromise at all with any religion or spirit that is in conflict against the Torah of the Lord!  Yeshua is coming soon.  Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is ONE.  Let all men be liars, let God's Word be true!

Our acceptance of one another is supposed to be similar. We have no mandate in the body of Messiah to decide who we will accept and who we won't. All who receive the Holy Spirit are members of the family.

What really struck me was how nice looking the pieces are from a design perspective.
