Ezekiel 36:22(Complete Jewish Bible), “Therefore tell the house of Isra’el that Adonai Elohim says this: ‘I am not going to do this for your sake, house of Isra’el, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have been profaning among the nations where you went. I will set apart my great name to be regarded as holy, since it has been profaned in the nations — you profaned it among them. The nations will know that I am Adonai,’ says Adonai Elohim, ‘when, before their eyes, I am set apart through you to be regarded as holy."
This prophecy given to Ezekiel is about the return of the children of Israel to the Promised Land. We should not be surprized that the Middle East right now is in turmoil and Israel, as always, is at the epicenter. According to the Biblical writings of the Old and New Covenants, this is to be the battlefront of the whole World at the coming of Messiah, when He returns to reign and rule. However, when we look at what the Prophet Ezekiel is told by Adonai Elohim, Yeshua HaMashiach, we get a clearer picture of the actual attitude of God Almighty during the end times. God says, 'I am not going to do this for your sake'. What? This is a very important concept for people to comprehend. Many think that God brought back the children of Israel, the Jews,to the Promised Land for their sake, the result of centuries of being persecuted around the globe. Unfortunately for those who may think this, Elohim says otherwise. The Lord says, "but for the sake of my holy name'. He goes on to say that His Holy Name has been profaned around the World by the very people who should have been proclaiming it. The sanctity of who Adonai Elohim is has been trodden under the most by His own people and now Yeshua is going to restore the land to prove His own holiness and greatness.
Jews might think that this is Christian propaganda but it is not. It is important to remember that God is no respecter of persons. Remember to keep in mind that Christians are also not innocent according to God's word to Ezekiel. Adonai knows the real score. Those in Chrisitianity who are guilty of hating the Jews, discounting them and trying to replace them are equally guilty of profaning God's name and holiness too. The 'Church' was never meant to be a tool for persecuting and hating the Jews. Yeshua said, "If you do this to the least of these my brethren you've done it unto me."
God didn't set up this last days scenario for the sake of anybody, but for the sanctity and restoration, and holiness of His own Name. Israel is His Land, His property and if you don't believe His Word you will pay His penalty: This goes for Jews and Gentiles alike. It wasn't for anyone's sake but for the sake of Who He is that the Lord has set all of these things up in Israel, and around the Middle East during the final days before His return. He has allowed wickedness to flourish for a season in order to destroy it. He is drawing all His enemies into their own judgement. Go ahead Satan, and all your minions, human and angelic, who would dare defy Adonai Elohim. Your time is short. Israel is in the land!
In Romans 3:10,11, Paul wrote, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God." This brings us all personally around to how we see ourselves measuring up in these final moments before the return of Yeshua the Messiah. Are we on the right side? You sure? May the Lord grant us wisdom in seeking after Him that He may be pleased with us when He does return. Do you continue to profane His Name by not acknowledging Who He is? Do you think you are worthy of His favor? Do you not think it incredible that you are alive to see all of this unveiling right before our eyes? Is your life dedicated to knowing who Messiah is? Do you care? Are you open to knowing the real truth? Kings, presidents, movers and shakers of all sorts have mucked things up, Jews and Gentiles alike. He is preparing His bride, His remnant, His people for His return. What is happening in the Middle East right now is part of that preparation. His Name, Yeshua HaMashiach, is Holy.
