Lessons From The Eagle

Isaiah 40:31
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

The Eagle is a majestic bird.  God uses the Eagle often in scripture to tell us something about Himself, or about ourselves that we often miss.  My prayer is that with Eagle like vision you will understand what I'm saying.

As stated, the Eagle is likened to royalty among all birds and throughout the Bible he is spoken of as the undisputed, "king of birds”.  The Lord likens Himself and His children to the Eagle so we should pay special attention to what scripture tells us.   Eagles are mentioned 34 times in the Bible.  They are considered an international symbol of strength, stamina, power, majesty, authority, and freedom.  You cannot fly as an Eagle unless you stay strong.  I remember an old saying that said, "How can you sore with Eagles when you are living with a bunch of Turkeys?"  However, I'm digressing.  We can talk Turkey some other time.  Back to the Eagle.
It is interesting to note that when an Eagle is placed in captivity that their entire personality will change.  They won't clean themselves.  They lose their aggression and become lazy, passive and depressed.  They will begin to eat dead, rotting meat when normally they would only eat fresh flesh.   Without freedom this majestic creature becomes something very sad.  Sound like anybody you know?

Like the Eagle, 'Eagle Believers' in Messiah don’t operate very well in captivity.  When we are boxed in, controlled or manipulated or stuck in a religious cage we lose out on the very life Yeshua promised for us to live.  In captivity we quench His Spirit operating in and through us and don't even see it.  Sadly, most believers today are in this type of spiritual captivity.  They are in chains to what other people think and what others are doing.  They have become dependent on something other than the Holy Spirit operating in their lives.  They have resorted to becoming people pleasers and not God pleasers.  With no fresh relationship in prayer and the Word of God, some believers in Messiah are captive to only what other people expect out of them in their 'journey' of faith.  Just who do they believe in anyway?   Who do they rely on?  These captives are often under the domination of some man or woman, or some system of the World, or Worldly church or Messianic congregation.   They are what the Bible calls, "comfortable and at ease in Zion." but they are snared.   Sadly, they are in a spiritual dungeon and often think it sinful to get free.   They think being free in Messiah would actually be rebellious on their part.  At the end of the day, they simply don't really know Messiah, or His present help in this World and rely solely on other people, methods and systems.  The fact is: They are bound.   Ironically, because it seems comfortable to them they grow to prefer their captivity and subjection to man-made religion and things not reliant upon the Spirit of God.   I pray that all of us may rise up to be like the Eagle.   Let us get free so  that we can spiritually stretch our wings!  May the Lord unshackle his Messianic Eagles everywhere that they may fly!  I hope you pay heed to what Paul said to Eagle believers in Messiah, those of us who shall run and not be weary, those of us who will walk and not faint.":

Galatians 5:1, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Messiah hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Making money is not as important but making it using the business ethics matters

Do you find this challenging to your senses? You should. We all are challenged every day by this truth of our need to trust in Him, Who we cannot see with our naked eyes. When we learn to walk in this realm we will finally understand and rest in the fact that there is this unseen hand guiding our life
